About Us

Fort Scott Entry SignNestled in the hills of Crosby Township, Fort Scott is more than an address for the people who now call it home. The 240-acre development near the banks of the Great Miami River is named after the Catholic summer camp that spread out over the hills and valleys from 1926 until its closing in 1989. Fort Scott once hosted thousands of boys and girls at two complete and separate camps located at one location. The camp was given the name “Fort” because of the terrain and the name “Scott” was the surname of Michael Scot who emigrated to Cincinnati from Baltimore and was one of the first Catholics in the area.

Today Fort Scott is being reborn into a planned community complete with a distinctive entry, lush landscaping, and amenities including a community swimming pool, clubhouse, exercise facility and playground.
